Dean's List Information For those teams who nominated a student for the Dean's List, here is what to expect: The student will do their individual interviews with a panel of two judges. See game manual for more information about that process. Food and Drink There is only water allowed in the competition area and pits (classrooms.) There are plenty of tables and areas outside for eating snacks and having lunch. We will have a 30 minute lunch break but are NOT selling food. Please plan accordingly. There are lots of nearby restaurants you can buy food to bring onto campus, or you can bring lunch for your team. Safety Glasses & Pits The pits will be in our school's classrooms - please be respectful! Please only use power tools or anything that makes a mess outside. Safety glasses are required in the pits and on the competition field. Teams are responsible for bringing their own safety glasses. Each team will get a table, chairs, and power outlet. Unfortunately, there will not be a practice field available. Parking You may park in the main school parking lot. There is also parking on the street in front of the school. You must NOT park on or block access to the basketball court. Event Structure Teams will carry the scores from their best 8 previous matches into this event. We will then add 6 rounds of qualification matches to get final league rankings. The playoff will consist offour 2-team alliances. They will play best 2-of-3 match elimination rounds for the semifinals and finals. Advancement Criteria Nine teams will advance from this League Championship to the SD Regional. The advancement will follow FIRST guidelines and you can check out the attachment to see exactly how it will break down. We will move down the list until we have 9 total teams (there will likely be some duplication within the first 9 "slots".) There will be no food or snack breaks. Please plan accordingly for your student, and know that they will likely be hungry when they return. Club members, please check your emails for further information!
