Today we announced this year's intramural game: Up and Over! Like last year, we have four teams competing from MCHS, and we will add one team from BMMS. This year's game takes inspiration from VEX's 2016/2017 Starstruck (Game Announcement Video from VEX), which features robots racing to toss game elements over a barrier in the field. Ours is a simplified version - our barrier is one height all the way across, whereas VEX uses a barrier with multiple heights, and our game elements are cut-up pool noodles, whereas VEX uses interesting star shapes.
This year, we are reusing the modified beacons from last year's Spin Off intramural game, and we are also using the end game flags from 2014's Block Party. The teams for this year are: “Not Applicable” (Captain: Dash), “Team Irrelevant” (Captain: Jay), “Return of the Freedom Fries” (Captain: Ben), and “Measure Once Cut Twice” (Captain: Tyler), “Ramen Noodles” (BMMS Team).
